The story behind the words
My love for words started early, leading me to major in fiction and creative writing in college. That gave me a massive respect for narrative structure, pacing, and what it takes to make a human voice leap off the page.
At 27, I dove headfirst into the freelance world, spending the next decade ghostwriting and copywriting. I worked with all kinds of clients, building close, long-term partnerships—several of which lasted for over ten years.
During that time, I learned how to write pretty much everything: high-performing email funnels, SEO content that ranked with search engines, sales copy, and even live talks and presentations. Because almost all of this was ghostwritten, I spent ten years quietly mastering a skill: learning to put my own ego in the backseat so I could perfectly mold my writing style to match the voice and energy of the person I was writing for.
My jump into being a book ghostwriter happened completely naturally, all thanks to the trust I had built with those long-term clients.
When one of my major clients was approached by a prominent traditional publishing house to write a book, she immediately turned to me and asked me to write it. Ghostwriting that first full-length manuscript was a total revelation. I absolutely loved the depth of the long-form ghostwriting process and how rewarding it was to work so closely with someone over several months. I knew right then that I had found my favorite way to write.
Over the next few years, I branched more fully into non-fiction ghostwriting, crafting self-help guides, health and wellness manuals, and creative non-fiction about a variety of topics. I'm a lifelong learner, and there's no better way to learn about a subject than to write a book about it! This work has allowed me to learn about subjects like stepparenting, hormone balance, astrology, gut health, sustainable architecture, and even quantum physics.
The deeper I got into the book world, the more I realized that one of my favorite parts of the job wasn't just holding the finished book—it was also the ghostwriting interview process.
I found so much joy in creating a quiet, safe space where my clients could really open up. I got to listen as they revisited forgotten chapters, relived personal triumphs, and processed old challenges. Time and again, I watched my clients find a profound sense of clarity and catharsis just by hearing their life’s journey reflected back to them. And I was privileged to hear the insights and wisdom they had collected over a lifetime.
That is exactly how I decided to lean into being an autobiography ghostwriter.
Today, I bring 14 years of rigorous writing experience, my creative writing roots, and a deeply empathetic listening process to the private autobiography space. I help you honor your journey, capture your authentic spirit, and preserve your legacy for the generations that follow.
I'd be honored to work with you.
